| This year, I planted vegetables amongst the perennials! It seemed like the thing to do as my husband pointed out this great article in the Wall Street Journal just around the time I began my planting. |

| It appears as though everyone is very happy with this new arrangement! The flowers are getting much more water and fertilizer thanks to their new neighbors. |

| Basil, lettuce, tomatoes, squash, parsley, eggplant and hot pepper plants are enjoying time with all sorts of new friends! We should all take a lesson from Mother Nature! Everyone should get along in our garden of life called "Earth!" |
