Two Sisters' Spring Boutique

Get ready for the Kentucky Derby!  Great hostess gifts!

Fabulous new spring/summer wraps!  You can wear these 3
different ways and they are reversible.  Oh, don't want to
forget to tell you how great these are for travel.  They fold flat!!

Hydrangea and Lavender themes are always seasonal favorites!

We await the garden this year with great gusto!
Bring it indoors in many forms for your own pleasure.

Travel in style with these wonderful travel bags!  Stay
organized and stylish at the same time!

This year, tunics are on the fashion radar screen.
Cool, colorful and affordable, these tunics paired with a great necklace
make a huge fashion statement.

Flower sack towels with spring designs are a welcome sight!
Pussy willows and daffodils bring springtime into your home!

Fabulous necklaces made in Queens, New York by
Lisa August make a light fashion statement.  For hot summer
temperatures these won't weigh you down but will instead
make a heavy duty fashion statement.
We support products made in USA!  We bet you do too!

Middleburg, Virginia...A real gem!

The Pavilion on Madison Street is dedicated to
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Jackie was a frequent visitor to Middleburg during and after
her marriage to President Kennedy.

The Red Fox Inn on the corner of East Washington (Route 50)
and Madison is a great place for lodging and dining!

Here in the dining room of the Red Fox Inn, you must try their
famous Peanut Soup, a real southern tradition.

Quaint shops and food purveyors are found neatly nestled in the
downtown area of Middleburg.
The Fun Shop at 117 Washington Street is my favorite place.
There is everything from Mariposa, cocktail napkins, hostess gifts,
equestrian everything and a MUST stop while here!  As you can
see the weather was rainy, cloudy and just plain too cool!

The Christmas Sleigh, Inc., at 5A East Washington Street
has the most beautiful Christmas decorations.  At this time of
year, I found lovely decorations for my Easter Tree!

This is Salamander Resort and Spa.  Take a right on Pendleton Street
just after Safeway.  There you will find the newest addition
to Middleburg.  A must visit while here.  The Gold Cup
Bar is where you will find the horsey set.  So, sit and relax with
your favorite beverage.  Perhaps you may play a game of pool or two!

Here's a beautiful fence which borders one property after the next.
Scenic and perfect in every way, the people in this community take
pride in their surroundings!  Horse country it is indeed!
Vineyards are plentiful in this area such as
Boxwood Estate Winery, Cana Vineyards & Winery
Chrysalis Vineyards and Greenhill Winery & Vineyards.
Go to "The Pink Box Visitors Center "
12 N. Madison Street

This little guy was born perhaps only a few hours before this picture was taken.  It's not even
tagged yet in order to keep him or her paired with its mother.

Here is Percy the pig!  He was to be a miniature but someone got
mixed up.  Anyways, he roams around our friend's house and gets
along famously with the other residents even giving this puppy a ride!
The people in Middleburg are not only horsey people, they are animal people.
As you can see here, all are welcome!

Recycle, Create and Share!

Last year, I went to our local libraries fundraiser.  There on the
tables were these wonderful centerpieces made of old books,
ribbon, silk daffodils and Spanish moss.  So...get out the
glue gun, line up your supplies and get to work!  Don't have any
old books you're willing to use?  You can find some at the local
recycling center, tag sales and indoor flea markets.  I plan on making
some for spring time gifts and decorations for my own home.
Pass this idea on as it is too good to keep to yourself!

Joyful Thoughts for March!

March has finally arrived!  Here are some
things you should be doing during the start
of springtime's journey...

~Buy a bouquet of daffodils for a pretty vase.
~Make an Irish Soda Bread and share it with friends.
~Watch for those pussy willows.  It will be time to enjoy one of the first signs of spring from the inside!
~Don't forget the corned beef and cabbage dinner on the 17th!
~The Vernal Equinox on March 20th deserves extra consideration this year!
~Towards the end of the month, purchase some pansies and primrose.
~Start getting those bunnies and baskets out.  You can never
have too much spring.
~The last week of March is the time to plant a living Easter Basket.  Line a basket with liner, add 2" of potting soil.  Sprinkle with rye grass, water and wait!
Add some decorative eggs and a bunny!
~Take advantage of sunnier and warmer days!  Hang the curtains on the line!
~It's a good time for spring cleaning.
~Bring in some branches of forsythia, cherry and birch.  Your
senses will awaken as these branches come to life.
~Everyone must have an Irish knit sweater.  If you do, send it to
the dry cleaners and get it ready for a month of fun, laughter and the
promise of greener days ahead!
