March has finally arrived! Here are some
things you should be doing during the start
of springtime's journey...
~Buy a bouquet of daffodils for a pretty vase.
~Make an Irish Soda Bread and share it with friends.
~Watch for those pussy willows. It will be time to enjoy one of the first signs of spring from the inside!
~Don't forget the corned beef and cabbage dinner on the 17th!
~The Vernal Equinox on March 20th deserves extra consideration this year!
~Towards the end of the month, purchase some pansies and primrose.
~Start getting those bunnies and baskets out. You can never
have too much spring.
~The last week of March is the time to plant a living Easter Basket. Line a basket with liner, add 2" of potting soil. Sprinkle with rye grass, water and wait!
Add some decorative eggs and a bunny!
~Take advantage of sunnier and warmer days! Hang the curtains on the line!
~It's a good time for spring cleaning.
~Bring in some branches of forsythia, cherry and birch. Your
senses will awaken as these branches come to life.
~Everyone must have an Irish knit sweater. If you do, send it to
the dry cleaners and get it ready for a month of fun, laughter and the
promise of greener days ahead!

Ahhh...the promise of greener days ahead sounds fantastic! I'm looking forward to doing quite a few of the things you've mentioned above: love cutting forsythia & letting them open indoors, and we will definitely use your recipe for Irish soda bread soon. Happy March!!
