The Herreshoff, Marine Museum and America's Cup Hall of Fame

Their brochure says, "In 1971 A Sidney DeWolf Herreshoff
and Rebecca Chase Herreshoff founded the Herreshoff Marine Museum
to preserve and perpetuate the unique accomplishment of the
Herreshoff Manufacturing Company and the key role it played in the
indusrial revolution and the America's Cup competition. "
Located in beautiful Bristol, Rhode Island overlooking Narragansett Bay
One Burnside Street

The Museum's collection includes over 60
meticulously restored yachts in their
Hall of Boats.  There are special exhibits that
chronicle the history of the America's Cup and contain
plaques honoring Hall of Fame Inductees.

Nancy and I enjoy
sitting in one of the
beautifully restored yachts.

Beautiful china and crystal used on
various yachts are part
of the collection.

Nancy's nautical purse fits right in with the decor!
You can find these  at our Bow-tiques!
